Ordering & Payment

Once your order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation email that includes your order number and an approximate order total. Click here to check the status of your order.

While you may see a preauthorisation on your selected method of payment, you will not be charged until your items are ready to ship from our warehouse. Your order may ship in multiple packages, but rest assured you will not be charged any additional shipping fees.

Once the item has shipped, the pre-authorisation is removed and charges will post to your account. Depending on your bank, the authorisation hold could take a number of days before being removed.

Anthropologie is not responsible for nor does it control the pre-authorisation process followed by individual banks. You should refer to your bank’s T&Cs for information on how this may affect your account.

We accept the following methods of payment: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Delta, Solo, Visa Electron, Maestro, PayPal, Apple Pay, Klarna, Clearpay and Anthropologie Gift Cards or E-Gift Cards.

Items are charged when they are dispatched. Orders made using Paypal are charged instantly.

For verification purposes, every purchase made with a gift card also requires you to enter a credit/debit card number. Your card will only be charged if the order total exceeds the amount on your gift card. In this scenario, you will be charged the outstanding order balance. The information on your card will not be used for any other purpose.

PAYMENT ISSUES

If your payment method was declined, it may have been unsuccessful due to incorrect information, card expiration, or insufficient funds. You can choose a new method of payment and contact your bank or the credit card company if you continue to experience difficulties placing your order.

GIFT CARDS

  • Gift cards may be purchased online or in any of our UK stores, in GBP.

  • Gift Cards will be mailed to the recipient via UK Standard Shipping free of charge. Please allow 3-5 business days for delivery.

  • All gift cards are not returnable or refundable, last for two years from purchase, and can be used in multiple transactions until the credit runs out.

  • When redeeming a traditional gift card in-store, simply present it at checkout. To use online, enter the gift card number into the Payment Information area at checkout. To reveal the PIN on the physical Gift Card you will need to scratch off the panel on the back of the card (do not peel)

E-GIFT CARDS

  • E-Gift Cards are sent to the recipient via email within 48 hours of your order. You will receive email confirmation that the E-Gift Card has been sent to your recipient.

  • Please note, we are unfortunately unable to deliver E-Gift Cards to BT Internet addresses and some other smaller email providers. If you do not receive E-Gift Card confirmation, please check that it has not been sent to your junk or promotions folder before contacting Customer Service.

  • To redeem an e-gift card in-store, have your e-gift card information handy, either printed out or accessible by email on your smartphone. When redeeming an e-gift card online, enter the e-gift card number into the Payment Information area at checkout.


    Please note that all gift cards and e–gift cards are only valid for redemption in the currency in which they were originally purchased.
