Give your wheels a style update with the gorgeous APANA woven bicycle basket. Designed in-house by The Basket Room, this unique bike accessory features turquoise and fuchsia patterning against natural grass, and is oblong-shaped.
Load your front basket with picnic treats and a comfy blanket for a lazy day by the river, or use yours for carrying your trainers, kit and bottle to and from the gym. This bicycle basket is roomy enough for your textbooks and stationery, and can be attached to the rear of your bicycle as a chic pannier if preferred. A most versatile storage solution, the APANA can also be fastened to cot rails as pretty nursery storage, and can store toiletries, flannels and towels on a bathroom rail. Each bike basket takes up to three days to weave by hand, and is made from wild veta vera - an indigenous crop also known as Elephant Grass. This grass is harvested, split, hand-rolled and dyed before a skilled weaver from our partner weaving cooperative in Northern Ghana sets to work on it.
To become an owner of one of our woven baskets is to become a part of our journey: a positive story of sustainability and generations of craftsmanship. We are dedicated to supporting the weavers in a truly fair and reliable trade, supplying a regular source of income to help sustain farming communities whose primary income - agriculture and livestock - can be perilously unpredictable and reliant on rainfall.
If your basket gets wet, simply leave it to dry naturally and re-shape.

Merchandise must not be used, worn, washed, or altered. All tags must be attached and items must be returned in original packaging. Most merchandise can be returned within 30 days of the delivery date. All gift cards are non-returnable or refundable.

We are now offering exchanges for clothing, accessories and shoes. Homewares, furniture and beauty items are excluded. An exchange request will need to be submitted and products sent back to us within 7 days from receiving the order. Once the return has been received, the exchange will be processed. Returns not received within 30 days will be charged to your original method of payment. Exchanges of products bought online cannot be processed in our stores.
