Anthropologie x Young Arts
Anthropologie x Young Arts
At Anthropologie, art isn’t just inspiration, it’s our foundation. That’s why we’re proud to partner with YoungArts, one of the only U.S. organizations supporting artists across multiple disciplines and career stages. Through mentorship and paid creative opportunities, our partnership uplifts the next generation of diverse, visionary talent, empowering them to grow, take risks, and thrive.
We’re proud to support this mission through the Anthropologie Leading with Creativity Award – an unrestricted $10,000 grant and mentorship for five standout alumni a year. Meet this year's winners and hear from YoungArts President & CEO, Clive Chang, on how this partnership is shaping the future of the arts.

What fuels YoungArts’ commitment to supporting diverse artists at every stage?

YoungArts is committed to supporting artists across multiple disciplines – from dance and film to music, visual arts, writing, and theater. We believe the future of the arts lies not only in individual excellence but in the powerful possibilities that emerge when disciplines intersect.

Our commitment is driven by a deep respect for the diverse voices and creative practices that flourish within each discipline and a belief that cross-disciplinary collaboration can unlock new modes of expression, innovation, and impact. We are investing in programs and opportunities that foster dialogue, experimentation, connection, and collaboration across art forms, empowering young artists to transcend boundaries, shape the cultural conversations of the future, and imagine what’s next.

Can you share three key YoungArts resources or programs that Anthropologie helps support, and briefly explain the significance of each?

Anthropologie’s generous partnership supports vital programs at YoungArts, helping emerging artists thrive through funding, mentorship, and national storytelling. From workshops to performances, Anthropologie plays a key role in making our flagship event – National YoungArts Week – possible, thanks in part to the annual holiday Round Up campaign, which raises over $250,000 through customer donations.

Beyond funding, the partnership offers real-world opportunities: YoungArts winners in Design take part in exclusive classes with Anthropologie’s creative team, while Leading with Creativity Award recipients gain hands-on experience in product development and marketplace strategy. It’s mentorship that blends artistry with business insight.

With over 20,000 YoungArts alumni across the U.S., expanding our reach is essential. Anthropologie helps amplify our work – online, in-store, and through community events nationwide, especially in Philadelphia, where our collaboration has sparked artist activations and cultural partnerships.

Together, we’re not just supporting young artists – we’re building a creative community where they can grow, connect, and share their gifts with the world.

What’s the first step an individual can take to support YoungArts’ mission and get involved?

The work of YoungArts artists leaves a lasting impression on everyone who experiences it. That spark – the creativity, passion, and originality they bring – is what continues to inspire and energize our community of supporters.

Often, the best way to understand the impact of YoungArts is simply to experience the artists' work firsthand. And chances are, you already have. YoungArts alumni are everywhere: on television and Broadway stages, in galleries and museums, writing novels, performing in theaters, hosting podcasts, and sharing their voices across creative spaces nationwide – from local venues to major cultural institutions.

You might even know of an artist age 15-18 who deserves a platform to shine. Encouraging them to apply to the YoungArts National Arts Competition could be their affirming first step to launching a life-changing and meaningful career journey in the arts.

What does this partnership mean to YoungArts, and how can we share that significance with our customers? What’s the long-term goal?

Our partnership with Anthropologie is a powerful reflection of what’s possible when creativity is supported and celebrated – and how much potential lies ahead.

As the partnership evolves and expands, so do the opportunities for the incredible young artists we serve. From career development to national exposure, Anthropologie’s support helps us give artists the tools they need to thrive.

For customers, it’s a meaningful way to be part of something bigger. Supporting YoungArts means believing in the power of art to connect us, move us, and make the world better. And that’s the kind of magic that keeps all of us – at YoungArts, at Anthropologie, and beyond – engaged and inspired for the future to come.
