"Clothes mean nothing until someone lives in them," once said acclaimed designer Marc Jacobs.
These days, we're doing a lot of living in our clothes – from working at home to exercising outdoors to spending plenty of time with the kids. The outfits our wardrobes crave most are those that reflect and can keep up with everyday demands. In other words, we need multitaskers.
The good news: Our newest laidback label, Daily Practice, is up to the task. Whether it's downtime, playtime, go-time, or frankly, any time, these endlessly versatile pieces ensure that ease is always on the agenda.
Here, we explore some inspiring styling tips a la Anthro on how to achieve a lively (and loungeworthy) look at home.

Five Ways to Wear Daily Practice
Comfy-cozy styling smarts, straight from our Home Office.
Fitness teacher and Marketing Manager Alexis Foglia swears by active sets, relying on them for a chic look for her Zoom-powered workout classes and daily errands. “I get dressed first thing in the morning before teaching, so it’s nice to throw on a matching set and not have to put too much thought into my outfit,” she says. “If I want to mix it up, I often layer a long sleeve or tee on top. I’m all about keeping it easy!”
The proof that these sets go beyond the reps: “Post workout-flow, I wear my sets for hours after my class, styling them with extra layers so that it lasts me the full day,” says Alexis. How does she dress it up? “For errands or my morning coffee run, I like to add high socks, a fun pair of sneakers, a pullover, and a trench coat in colder weather.”

Tees give us the three C’s: cute, casual, and comfy. “There is just nothing better than a flatteringly cut tee that fits perfectly under sweaters or a zip-up hoodie, but can still be worn on its own come spring,” says Senior Creative Director Carolyn Keer. “It’s my way to look effortlessly casual without actually putting an outfit together.”
“I’m a layering lady, so a pullover is the perfect over-a-tee-and-go shirt. It’s usually my outfit for running errands on a Saturday morning, along with joggers and sneakers,” says Carolyn, who dotes on the Damiana Pullover. “I love the drop sleeve and boat neck to show off a little shoulder while still having plenty of room to move around and be comfortable.”
For spring and summer looks, Carolyn likes to pair her tees with a pair of utility pants, where she enjoys a tailored fit, wrinkle-resistant fabrics, and adjustable construction that’s designed to do it all – no matter how her day plays out.

Two things that Merchandising Manager and mom Tiffany Murnane always chooses: structure and versatility. “I love fabrics that are super soft, but thick enough to wear out of the house, which is a bonus when I’m running my daughter out the door to school in the AM!” says Tiffany. She adores the Hadley Cropped Tank. “I can wear the tank to bed, lounging around the house, or even pair it with a denim jacket for a laidback spring look.”
When it comes to her precious downtime, Tiffany has a savvy philosophy: “Whether sleep or lounge, I prioritize style. I like to feel good inside my house just as much as outside. It’s easy to feel uninspired and drab in your everyday clothes, so I love an optimistic color or print to boost my mood. It helps me feel fab, but also casual.”
For sleep bottoms, she opts for print-forward joggers and styles with a cardigan or sweater – and a pair of comfy-cozy socks. “Socks are a must this year when styling. With all the cute prints and textures, I love to incorporate these with open-toed Birkenstocks or slippers.”

We’ve all heard the expression: Two is better than one. And lounge sets bring a whole new meaning to that phrase. “After a year of working from home, matching lounge sets allow me to feel polished and more myself at home with minimal effort,” says Loungewear Buyer Kayla Doolady. “It's made me more adventurous in trying new top silhouettes, because I can swap the pieces with separates I already have in my closet.”
Like matching activewear, lounge and sweater sets can be dressed up in an instant with simple hair accessories (think scrunchies, barrettes, and hair scarves), statement earrings, or eye-catching gems. “Layered necklaces and bracelets allow me to show off more of my personality when I’m taking Zoom calls from my living room floor,” says Kayla.

Self-care is an essential act of self-love. When life is slow – or busy – it’s important to dress with downtime in mind. “I love throwing on my softest intimates, layered with a robe or comfy sweatpants, and just taking some time for me,” says Digital Designer Paige Weinman. “Whether I’m doing my skincare routine, cuddling on the couch with my pup, or making myself a cup of tea – I love to wear something that makes me feel good on the inside and outside.”
The perk of being off-duty at home is that you can dress for you and yourself alone. “Putting on something with a pop of color makes me feel happy, even if no one will see. I love wearing different fabrics depending on my mood – sometimes I’ll wear something silky as a luxurious treat to myself," says Paige. "When I want to feel cozy, I’ll grab a fuzzy pair of socks or my favorite Anthro slippers.”
