See Inside The Anthropologie x Pinterest Holiday House

We teamed up with Pinterest to unveil a fully shoppable, immersive showhouse.

There's No Place Like Home For The Holidays

During a blissful autumn week in October, Anthropologie and Pinterest moved into a covetable brownstone in New York's storied Brooklyn Heights neighborhood. The goal? To fully transform a turn-of-the-century residence into a breathtaking Holiday House, creating a first-ever shoppable experience with exclusive access to our 2023 holiday collection. Members of the press, interior designers, stylists, and other curious guests flocked to the storybook location for a glimpse of Anthropologie and Terrain's holiday home collections.

Jessica McGuinn, brand partnership lead at Anthropologie, sought to expand the concept of what a marketing event could be – and do – in today's digital business environment. "When we started talking about the idea of a Holiday House, I immediately knew that Pinterest would be the perfect fit for the project." Jessica felt it was essential to provide an immersive, sensory experience for Anthro fans and industry partners. "We were ready for this first-of-a-kind experiential shopping moment." In every room, guests had access to iPads with Pinterest boards featuring the fully shoppable pieces styled throughout the home.

Taking cues from our partners, the Pinterest-worthy Holiday House unveiled three impeccably furnished floors and a garden patio, adorned with individual thematic delights, courtesy of Anthropologie and our friends at Terrain. Each room was brimming with inspiration, from cozy celestial charm to ethereal Venetian revelry, and even a whimsical woodland wonderland. And who could overlook the touch of Terrain? Lush greenery, cascading garlands, and evergreen wonders decked it all.

Now, it's your turn to take a closer look inside, and find out how each festive room came to life.

Set the Scene: An Opulent Entrance

The entryway provided a sweeping vista to the dining room and kitchen area, with soaring rear windows and views of the ground-floor garden.

To the left, guests were greeted by a Venetian-inspired sitting room trimmed with jewel tones of mauve, cobalt, and fuchsia. A Christmas tree, bedecked with dried florals and avian-inspired ornaments, stood near a marble mantel featuring our gilded and glamorous Mila Mirror accented with a dried botanical garland and luminous globe lights.

"The muted pastels and antique finishes worked so well together – it was such an unexpected opportunity to create a new palette of wonder for the holiday season," says Senior Brand Stylist Glen Proebstel, who was tapped to style the showhouse.
The dining table was festive down to the details. On the menu? The Cinzia Wine Glasses offered colorful flair while the velvety Missy Swivel Chairs set the scene for delicious dishes (cue the Adley collection!) and spirited discussions to come alive. The kitchen showcased our holiday-themed artist collaborations with Lou Rota and Catherine Martin.

Dream Under the Stars:
A Celestial-Inspired Holiday Bedroom

“Unexpected, transportive, and aspirational,” are three words that came to mind for Johanna Andruchovici, Senior Creative Merchandiser at Anthropologie, to describe the second-floor bedroom. "When you walked into the celestial-inspired space – snow lightly dusting the floors – the thought I-wish-this-were-mine quickly surfaced," says Johanna.
The Christmas tree donned its finest attire of celestial garlands, elegant ornaments, and twinkling candlesticks. It cast a luminous, ethereal glow that elevated the concept of holiday centerpieces to a whole new level.
And let's not glance over the dream-worthy bedding, artfully layered atop the Heatherfield Bed, creating a tableau of sink-into-me comfort and style. Nearby, the Lulu Table Lamp softly illuminated the surroundings, adding a touch of enchantment.

Winter Wonder, Landed:
An Enchanting Outdoor Garden

Down the winding wooden staircase, the woodland-inspired garden, complete with dainty fairy lights, magical mushrooms, and a forest of faux trees, transformed the outdoor patio. The fire pit offered a warm glow so enchanting you could cast a spell. It was a sight to behold, where elegance danced hand-in-hand with playfulness, leaving guests enthralled.

Home Sweetest Home

Together, Anthropologie and Pinterest worked their magic to offer an enchanting experience straight from the realm of make-believe. Holiday home décor, after all, is an invitation to unleash your imagination and indulge in some serious festive fun. Faux fur and velvet? Without a doubt. Ornaments and artwork? All over. Greenery and garland? Terrain effortlessly delivered. And the inspiration was aplenty. From the ethereal to the delightfully whimsical, the Holiday House whisked guests away to many an enchanted wonderlands, leaving them spellbound at every turn – and you're invited to shop it all.
