About John Wind
From found-object collage pieces to minimalist designs, jewelry icon John Wind has done it all. After soaring to popularity in the mid '80s - including shows at London's Fashion Week and appearances in British Vogue - the artist relocated to Philadelphia to form his new jewelry label, the appropriately named Maximal Art. Already renowned for his eclectic style, he and his design partner Hilary Jay created the line's signature aesthetic: A little bit vintage, a little bit rock 'n' roll. Today, John Wind honors the history of his initial silhouettes and his work with Maximal Art by combining of-the-moment trends - think monograms and pearls - with Victorian details. The result? Unique accessories that stand out in any collection.
