Thanks to denim's ability to flatter, enhance, (even lengthen!), we're convinced of its transformative powers. Errand-running? You got it. Date night? Solved. Yet, when it comes to finding the perfect style, it's not so plane sailing.
We've all been there, after all. Pulling on pairs unyieldingly tight, waistbands too big, hems too long. Whilst jeans radiate versatility, they're not without their conundrums. That's why we've enlisted the help of Anthro's very own Senior Womenswear Buyer Lucy Russel, and Senior Assistant Planner Chloe Bubbins, to do all the hard work for you.
Here, they demonstrate how to wear (with flair) our new sustainable denim collection: Seen Worn Kept. Plus, give a step-by-step guide on how to make sure you get the perfect fit. Because once you've found 'the one', there's no looking back...

The Crop Flare
"I wanted the jeans to feel simple but chic, so I added some of my favourite counterparts (a frilly collar and mini florals)," she says. The pop of green in the shoes really ties the look together."

"Paisleys make any outfit a winner - in my opinion - even when I'm just running errands. Plus, I’m a total advocate for bold hues, and this orange heel is such a stunner."

The Wide Leg
"My love for colour doesn't mean I don't appreciate a good monochrome moment. The shape of the blouse paired with the sleekness of the jeans make it a perfect day-to-night look. When the evening beckons, I'd style with catch-the-light hoops," she says.

The Girlfriend
"This subtley-slouched pair is perfect for weekend wandering. On days when I want to feel comfortable but still look put together, I'll wear with Birkenstocks, fluffy socks and a breezy blouse."

The Straight
"I absolutely adore how the navy blouse complements the seventies-inspired clogs. Plus, it's a great choice as we head into spring and look for something a little lighter and a little more laidback. Bonus points if the blouse is embroidered. It will elevate the whole ensemble."

"Cream denim has become a favourite staple of mine. The key to making it work? Simplicity," says Lucy. Here, I've teamed it with a slogan tee and tortoiseshell heels. Even though the look is quite two-toned, the print on the top and the texture of the tortoiseshell speak volumes."

FIND YOUR FIT:
An Anthro Guide to Jean Measurements
Step 1.
(Because it's hard to take measurements of yourself, we suggest finding a friend to help you, or measure a pair of jeans that fit really well!)
Lay the jeans flat on a hard surface and using your measuring tape, measure across the top of the waist (making sure the jeans are buttoned and zipped so you can get an accurate measurement).
When you get this number, double it for your jeans' waist measurement.
Step 2.
Then, start with the inseam. This is the distance from the crotch seam to the ankle and determines the length of jeans you need.
Step 3.
The last measurement you need is the rise. Start from the crotch seam to the waist of the denim. (Make to pull the waist tight when you take this measurement). Some styles will sit low, some will sit high.
