Midwest-based illustrator, map maker and designer Libby VanderPloeg spent family road trips in the back seat admiring street maps and all the intricate details they included. She grew up in Michigan on the edge of the Great Lakes dunes in a small beach town called Grand Haven. Since then, she's lived in Grand Rapids, Chicago, New York, and Stockholm. Today, she creates story-driven works of art inspired by everyday people, the places they go, and the artifacts they collect along the way.
