Sota
Creativity – it's at the heart of all we do here at Anthropologie. And this month, we’re proud to be working with SOTA, a disruptive online gallery empowering artists and championing affordability. The gallery’s founding principles are rooted in rebellion: providing an inclusive marketplace that showcases talent – and puts accessibility at its heart.

“I believe that art shouldn't be exclusively for the top 1% or even 10% of society. This is where SOTA comes in,” explains founder Emma Lang. “Here, everyone can access high-quality art at genuinely affordable price points. Financially and creatively empowering artists – and seeing the impact this has on their wellbeing and overall happiness – is so rewarding.”

Throughout the partnership, we’ll be lending our platform to the gallery and shining a spotlight on three featured artists: Kelly Jay, Sumuyya Khader, and Jovilee Burton. The curation is as varied as it is unapologetic, traversing mediums to explore everything from nature to identity (to name but a few!).

The trio's work will be available to purchase online, with 100% of all profits going to The Black Heart Foundation Scholarship Programme. To mark the occasion, we sat down with Kelly and Sumuyya to hear more about their art, their inspirations, and what SOTA means to them…

During October, we’ll be donating 100% of all profits on SOTA artwork to The Black Heart Foundation in support of its Scholarship Programme. The Scholarship aims to provide gap funding to underrepresented and under-resourced young people for education and training, empowering the next generation of diverse arts talent.
