How to Host:
An Easter Picnic
Our fresh (air) take on springtime entertaining.
The sun has more strength in its rays, flowers are flourishing, and we’re greeted by the tell-tale scent of cut grass... It's official: spring is in full swing. And with Easter fast-approaching too, the seasonal shift has us looking to celebrate.
Enter the humble picnic. Delicious food, delightful company, and daffodils by the dozen… We can’t think of a better way to freshen up eating al fresco. If there’s ever been a time to enjoy the season’s sweetest (hot cross bun, anyone?), it’s now, with the world mid-blossom.
So, grab a blanket and find a sunny spot – we’re setting out with a spring in our step. From cocoa-dusted treats to serving signatures, with the wonderful Magda Zalewska (a.k.a. @mazale_) as our guide, Easter picnicking has never looked so pretty…

A Softer Tone
Whether you're headed to the park of your back garden, comfort is key. Start with a base blanket, then pile on the plush in the form of cushions and snuggle-worthy throws.
When it comes to picking a palette, think bright. Spring offers some spectacular shades to choose from, and for us, pastels are the best of both worlds: sweet and easy on the eye, but also versatile, with plenty of scope for mixing.
Keep colours consistent to bring cohesion to your spread, adding interest with textural elements like the Roma Dessert Plate (perfect for plating up slices of your favourite treat).

Bloom Wildly
What’s spring without flowers? Don’t get us wrong, we adore a handcrafted ornament (or ten), but nature’s décor can elevate your Easter picnic just as beautifully. From March to May, hyacinths, pansies and tulips are in their prime; and picking seasonally means you’ll get the most out of your blooms.
Gather your posies in a basket – ideally something sturdy and eye-catching – to showcase them in all their glory. For us, the handwoven Greensward Picnic Basket ticks every box.

Serve with Style
And now, the moment you've been waiting for: the feast itself. Turn tippling into a floral affair with the Livia Glass Tumbler – and keep little guests happy with sweet fruit, washed and tumbled together in the Cottage Berry Basket.
Try to experiment with different materials, heights, shapes and shades of accents (a rose metallic accent here, some stone-flecked marble there). In our minds, the more eclectic, the better!
