By mid-June, Pride festivities are at their brightest: crowds gather; colours splash walls and windows, and communities come together in vibrant solidarity.

For allies, it is a chance to listen. Pride is as much a springboard as it is a celebration – an opportunity to amplify LGBTQ+ voices, and to shine a spotlight on the queer talent underpinning creative industries. It’s a sentiment shared by Gavin Dobson, the London-based artist leading our Screen-Printing Masterclass on the 24th of June:

“The louder the party, the wider its reach. It is an important reminder, to those in less fortunate positions, that they are not alone – wherever they are.”

A painter with a passion for high-impact hues, Gavin has also created eight limited edition artworks – available on our website – with proceeds donated to Choose Love, our charity partner. And who better to give context to the colourful canvases than the artist himself?

To mark this year’s Pride month – and as part of Anthropologie’s Philanthropie commitment – 100% of all profits made on Gavin Dobson’s original artworks between the 19th of June and the 2nd of July will be donated to Choose Love. The charity supports LGBTQIA+ refugees and asylum seekers to access safe shelter, legal support and be connected to community groups. Learn more about the organisation here.
