Christmas Day’s a whirlwind of wrapping paper, oohs and aahs, and tuck-in feasts. The last part of that festive whirlwind? An outfit change (or two. Or three). From the night before shimmer, to cosy knits for a frosty afternoon walk, a chameleon-esque wardrobe is a yuletide prerequisite. To help us refine our festive options down to three must-wears, Ella Gregory, the sartorial mind behind Coco’s Tea Party, has shared her top looks for Christmas Eve soirees, Christmas morning’s big present reveal, and a post-dinner stroll. Ella, take it away!
“Christmas eve calls for a little shimmer and these sequin joggers are perfect for that. They’re super comfy and minimal fuss, but they’ll still look like you’ve made a dressy effort. Pair them with tassels and fringes to channel the flapper era.”
“Christmas morning is all about feeling cosy, but don’t forget to look presentable too! Elegant knits provide the perfect solution, and you can layer them both on your top and bottom half. Pull cosy socks on over Fair Isle leggings and top a snug jumper with a sparkling headband.”
“Whether strolling pre or post Christmas feast, a warming jumper is in order. This bobble-covered version is a lot of fun, the colour and embellishment means it needs little to no thought, and it looks fantastic. Pair with skinnies, boots and a hat, and you’re ready to go.”
