Spring Anew

WITH GÉRALDINE SAGLIO

Go behind the scenes of our Spring 2025 photoshoot with the renowned stylist.
"Inspiration always comes to me spontaneously. Suddenly, I’ll be drawn to a piece – a vintage garment, an accessory, or a series of images – and from there, I create a universe."

Styled by the renowned Géraldine Saglio on model Doutzen Kroes, and captured in the lovely landscapes of Portugal, the Spring 2025 Collection celebrates the ephemeral nature of the season, and offers a wealth of inspiration to carry you through fluctuating forecasts and a full-calendar of occasions and outings.

Ahead, we caught up with Saglio to get the scoop on her creative process, her sources of inspiration, and the fashion formulas she's most excited to play with in the months to come.

Inspiration

Dressing is expressive – an outward extension of who we are. Like the seasons, we change and develop interest in new, exciting pieces. But, where does one find inspiration? For Saglio, it tends to happen spontaneously. "Suddenly, I’ll be drawn to a piece – a vintage garment, an accessory, or a series of images – and from there, I create a universe," Saglio said. "I often go by instinct and live in the moment." The white tee serves as a perfect blank canvas. Look to items like sheer dresses, utility-inspired coats, and unique accessories to act as the paint. After all, outfitting is an art form and you are the artist, so debut a look that feels authentic to you.

Shapes

If your closet feels like it’s missing that certain je ne sais quoi, shapely pieces can add the perfect touch. Consider silhouettes with asymmetrical hems, drop waists, and off-the-shoulder details. Play with textures like ruffles, fringe, ribbing, and lace. While the runway is a great source for fashion inspiration, it's not the only one. "I love attending exhibitions and museums, and drawing inspiration from a photo, a painting, or colors to create my mood boards," Saglio said. You can build visual interest through the sandwich method – a technique that involves placing a contrasting piece in between two coordinating ones. A single piece can make a big impact: an oversized belt, a rugged jacket, or wide-leg jeans, to name a few.

Trends

Look to pastel shades to drive home the transition from winter to spring. Think oat milk, matcha green, and ballet pink – hues that mimic the softness of the burgeoning season. When considering proportion, Saglio recommends contrasting traditionally masculine shapes with softer, feminine details. Pairing unexpected items – like a basic sweatshirt and sneakers with tailored pants – can transform your wardrobe into something "casual-chic and slightly classic, with a touch of rock." This year, boxers and slips are breaking out of the bedroom as the season's sleeper hits, we continue to dress due west, and romantic florals are in full bloom.
