Raima Chowdhury

Raima is a Bengali fine artist based in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York, who specializes in oil painting. Her preferred painting style is that of naturalism and realism, using traditional European techniques such as Chiaroscuro and Trompe L’oeil to accurately depict surfaces and textures of the still-life ensembles she organizes. Her recent work includes cultural antiques and familial memorabilia, both of which give viewers insight into her background as a Bengali-American.
