Kenya Knight, a Hollywood-born California girl, and Taib Lotfi, a Moroccan of Berber descent, founded Soukie Modern with the vision of blending the best that their cultures have to offer…something like to call a “Collective Casbah”. The duo utilize Taib’s extensive network of Berber tribal dealers and weavers to source authentic, one of a kind, Moroccan rugs and textiles. They house their collection at their store in Palm Springs, California, where they proudly share the history and the mesmerizing symbolism behind the weavers’ techniques and designs. Their handbags, popular with It Girls worldwide, are crafted utilizing luxury RiRi Hardware and vintage Moroccan textiles, guaranteeing that no one will ever have a “Soukie Bag” just like yours!
