This traditional Moroccan shag will make a statement in any space. Deep berry tones with hints of black compliment this one of a kind pattern. These rugs are made with Moroccan architecture in mind, where areas are often very long and narrow – hence the unconventional shape. Multiple women work simultaneously on the loom to create each rug, which can cause slight change in dimensions from end to end. This variation, along with abrash coloration, fading, missing tassels, and worn edges, are distinguishing features of an authentic vintage Moroccan rug. Ignited by a passion for Moroccan architecture, culture, and design, Semikah Textiles sources vintage Berber rugs throughout Morocco, hand-selecting each piece to represent and celebrate the nurturing hands of the women that have been making them for generations.
