Our Momo blankets are handmade by K’iche’ Mayan artisans in the western highlands of Guatemala in Momostenango. They are made from a blend of locally sourced cotton (10%) and wool (90%) from indigenous sheep. The wool is hand spun and each blanket it hand-loomed on traditional wood looms.
Unlike mass-produced wool products, these blankets undergo minimal processing and are washed and brushed by hand to preserve their rustic charm. These natural blankets are versatile and durable. They make the perfect bed topper but can also be used for camping or picnics.
Please note that due to their handmade nature, sizes and patterns may have slight variations.
With a mission to create opportunities for indigenous artisans around the world, Jitana works directly with co-ops and non-profits in Guatemala and Mexico to thoughtfully source handcrafted products. A percentage of all sales is donated back to those communities in need.

Returns made within 14 days of the order delivery date will be issued a refund to the original form of payment. Original shipping costs will not be refunded. Returns made after 14 days a restocking fee of 15% will be deducted from the original cost of item(s). All returns made after 60 days from delivery date will not be accepted for refund.
