The age-old technique of these colorful, intricately embroidered molas have been passed down through generations by the ladies of the Kuna community in Panama. They can illustrate memories, dreams or experiences and are made from multiple layers of colored fabric sewn together and cut intricately to expose different layers and eventually the overall design. Traditionally used as clothing, each piece is one of a kind and takes anywhere from a week to months to complete. They are more than deserving to be framed and on display!

House of Nomad, an interior design firm and shop, was founded on the idea that travel fosters the best creativity. They create their signature modern global aesthetic by mixing styles and layering textures and patterns. The co-founders travel to Africa, Indonesia, Mexico and Central America meeting with artisans and sourcing for their shops and interior design clients.
