About Max Weyl
Weyl emigrated to the United States as a young man and worked in Washington, D.C., where he became widely collected by the Washington art scene. Collected by the White House, Georgetown University and the Virgina Military Institute, Max Weyl made a name for himself in D.C. and had a retrospective of his work on display at the Corcoran Gallery of Art and the National Gallery of Art. Hollyhocks is a romantic, tonal still life of a small arrangement of spring flowers.
