What is a serving platter?
Simply put, it's a flat, long dish used for serving food, often at special occasions or gatherings.
What is a serving platter used for?
Typically, you’ll use a serving platter for serving varying side dishes or main dishes at parties, get-togethers, gatherings, and more.
What is the difference between a serving platter and a serving tray?
Unlike a serving tray, a platter is designed for larger portions and is more commonly used for presenting main dishes rather than setting out appetizers or cocktails.
How should you store serving platters?
To store serving platters effectively, start by stacking larger serving platters at the bottom of a sideboard or shelf, using a soft cloth or protective padding between them to prevent scratches. For smaller serving platters, you can stack them on top with a cushion between each one. If space allows, consider using dividers or a dedicated rack to keep the platters organized and easily accessible.
