Shipping Information

How much will it cost to ship my order?

Please use the chart below to estimate standard shipping and handling charges. For express and overnight delivery, add $10 and $15 respectively.

When can I expect my order to ship?

Most in-stock items ship within 24 hours of ordering; however, some orders may take up to 48 hours to process. Please note that we do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays or US holidays.

Orders may be split across multiple shipments, and items ordered together may not be shipped out on the same day. Occasionally, items may be out-of-stock or backordered. You will be alerted in both instances, and in the event of a backorder, will be provided an approximate date of shipment. You will be informed if an item is backordered when you add it to your basket or within ten days of placing your order.

Can I cancel or modify my order before it ships?

Unfortunately, we are unable to make changes, including cancellations, to orders after they have been submitted.

An item may only be canceled if it is currently backordered. If you would like to cancel a backordered item, please call 1.800.309.2500 or email service@anthropologie.com.

How will I know when my order has shipped?

You will receive an email notification confirming shipment (be sure to check your spam folder). Please note that items are only charged to your selected method of payment once they have shipped.

If items in my order ship separately, will I be charged extra?

Your order may ship in multiple packages, but rest assured that you will not be charged any additional shipping and handling fees. The shipping and handling fee quoted at checkout will be prorated and applied based on the value of each individual shipment.

What does it mean if an item is backordered?

If you place an order for an item that is not available for immediate shipment, it will be backordered. You will be informed if an item is backordered at the time you add it to your basket or within ten days of placing your order. You will also be given an approximate date of shipment. You will not be charged for backordered items until they ship.

In the event that a backordered item is part of your order, we reserve the right to cancel the item or ship your order in multiple packages. If for any reason you would like to cancel a backordered item, please call 1.800.309.2500 or email service@anthropologie.com. If an item is cancelled from your order for any reason, you will not be charged for the item.

Can I ship an item to a store?

Yes! Select stores now offer personal pickup, which enables you to make purchases online and pick them up at a store of your choice, sans shipping charges. At this time, personal pickup is only available at participating stores in the Chicago and Los Angeles areas. Learn more about Personal Pickup.

What is your shipping policy for furniture and other oversized items?

Delivery methods, timing and fees vary from item to item, so be sure to check individual product pages for delivery specifics.

Select furniture items now ship via Unlimited Furniture Delivery. No matter how many items you place in one order, you'll enjoy a $149 flat-rate fee for furniture and select non-furniture delivery. When all qualifying flat-rate items in your order are ready, you will be contacted by phone to schedule delivery. Rest assured, your items will be handled with care, as our white glove service includes inside delivery to your room of choice, as well as unpacking, assembly and debris removal.

Please note that furniture and other oversized items are unable to ship to US territories, Alaska, Hawaii, islands within the continental US, PO boxes, APO/FPO addresses and locations outside of the US. Overnight and express delivery options are also unavailable for oversized items.

Do you ship to PO boxes and APO/FPO addresses?

Yes, we ship to PO boxes and APO/FPO addresses. Orders shipped to PO boxes are sent via USPS Priority Mail. Overnight and express delivery are unavailable for these destinations.

Returns & Exchanges

What is Anthropologie’s return policy?

If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, please let us know so we can help. All merchandise—with the exception of furniture and other oversized items—may be returned at any time by mail or to our stores in the US and Canada. Visit our store locator to find the Anthropologie nearest you.

Furniture and other oversized items may be returned within 30 days of the date of delivery. After 30 days, Anthropologie will only refund such items where a manufacturer defect was found. Product defect returns may be made for up to one year from the date of delivery. For more information on returning furniture and oversized items, click here.

Any shipping fees associated with making returns are the responsibility of the customer and will not be refunded.

How do I return furniture and other oversized items?

If your item(s) arrived via delivery service please call us at 1.800.309.2500 to schedule a complimentary return pick-up. If your item(s) arrived via UPS, please mail your return to the following address, or print a pre-addressed label here.

Anthropologie is not responsible for shipping fees or lost returns. Please obtain a tracking number for your records.

If I mail a return, when will I be refunded?

Most returns will process in approximately two to three weeks. Additional processing delays may occur. A refund will then be credited back to your original method of payment, and will post approximately two days after the date of processing. It may take up to two billing cycles for the credit to appear on your monthly credit card statement.

Can my return be refunded in the form of a gift card?

Yes, it most certainly can. If you make a return in-store, let the store associate know your preferred method of refund. If you are making a return by mail, please write “refund in the form of a gift card” on your return form. Your purchase will be refunded in the form of an e-gift card, issued via email.

If I misplaced the pre-paid, pre-addressed SmartLabel that came with my order, can I get a new one?

Yes! You have two options: contact us at 1.800.309.2500 or service@anthropologie.com and we will provide you with a new SmartLabel, or print a return label here, and mail your return using your preferred shipping carrier.

What is the cost to return or exchange an item?

Returns and exchanges are complimentary at all US and Canada Anthropologie stores, and must be accompanied by an original packing list or receipt. Returns and exchanges may also be made by mail using the SmartLabel included in your order, or your own personal shipping method. Do you offer price adjustments?

If you have purchased items that are now on sale, we will gladly offer you a one-time price adjustment if you contact us within 14 days of the original date of shipment or in-store purchase.

For online or phone orders, please call 1.800.309.2500 or email service@anthropologie.com. We do not offer price adjustments on shipping charges.

Ordering & Payment

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, China Union Pay, PayPal, and Anthropologie gift cards and e-gift cards issued in USD.

If I place an order, when will I be charged?

Your selected method of payment will be charged once your items have shipped. You will receive an email notification confirming shipment (be sure to check your spam folder).

Why is my card being declined when I try to place an order?

This is likely because we could not obtain an authorization from your credit card company. You may wish to contact the issuing bank of your credit card regarding this matter, and then inform us of any additional information.

We will keep your order on file for 48 hours before it will be cancelled. Please respond quickly; merchandise cannot be held for your order and may become unavailable.

How do I use a promo code?

Promo codes may be entered at the final stage of checkout. In the right-hand column, below Discounts and Promotions, click Enter a Promo Code and enter the code. Only one promo code may be applied per order.

Please note that exclusions vary from promotion to promotion.

What do I do if I can’t find my e-gift card?

It may be tucked away in your email spam folder. Be sure to thoroughly check all folders in your email account. Still having trouble? Call 1.800.309.2500 or email service@anthropologie.com.

Where can I use my gift card or e-gift card?

Gift cards and e-gift cards can be redeemed online or in US and Canada stores in the currency in which they were originally purchased. For example, gift cards purchased in CAD may only be redeemed in Canada stores, as anthropologie.com does not currently accept Canadian currency.

Do you ship to PO boxes and APO/FPO addresses?
