I loved these pants from the moment I saw them online, and I finally purchased them. The fit and construction are first rate with just enough spandex in the mix to make them comfortable.
Fit: I am 5'7" and a size 8 (size 29 in Pilcro denim), and the size 8 in this pant fits beautifully.
Construction: Love the front and back pockets, and the lace trim along the outseam elevates these from an ordinary pair of black cropped pants to the extraordinary. The cropped length is perfect--any longer and they would look matronly.
Care: The care instructions state that they are machine washable; however, I will have them dry cleaned to preserve the finish and color of the fabric and trim.
Styling: I intend to dress them up with tunics, silk blouses and jeweled cardis with heels and down with a white tee and denim jacket or blazer and ballet flats.
I'm not feeling the "bullfighter" vibe described by another reviewer and instead feel very Audrey Hepburn-ish in them. They are a classic with an Anthro twist. Very pleased with my purchase!

When I first got these off the rack, I thought I'd grabbed a pair of plain black chinos. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the detail along the side, which does not really stand out as much as you'd think it might. The fabric is solid and the construction is great. I'm going to say that it runs a little larger than true to size, because I got myself into a 2 without "bubbling over". Usually I'm a 4 - 5'7", 34-26-34, 126lbs, but I got them because I sensed that they would stretch a bit with wear and also because my husband LOVED them on me.
I could see this being really nice with a crisp white blouse and a colorful statement necklace (ala Anthro!). I wear them with flats but you probably could pair with heels if so inclined. All in all very happy with this purchase!

I have been wanting to try these on ever since they first popped up on the website. I had visions of looking like Audrey Hepburn, but once I put them on, I couldn't help feeling like a bullfighter. The lace on the sides is only sewn down in the middle, so the edges stick out, plus the length was shorter than in the picture. Total bullfighter vibe, and definitely not what I was hoping for. If they were longer, I think it would have worked. Too bad.
