Pepin Buttondown

We're sorry. This product is no longer available.

The best thing about a buttondown (like this one from Lil): you can throw it on in a hurry, wear it with just about anything, and look polished-yet-casual every time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Be brave without the cami! Love this blouse and felt beautiful in it. Other reviewers are correct, it is VERY see-thru...however, with the right nude bra that matches your skintone, you can wear this without a cami. I agree, wearing it with a cami takes away from the lace (I tried, but couldn't ruin this blouse with one). Just take a deep breath, and do it...obviously not work appropriate, though. It's 90 degrees here right now so I just wore it with lightweight JBrand denim, ballet flats, hair in messy bun, and big pearls. I also rolled up the sleeves, and that helped make more relaxed looking. Can't wait to wear it with colored denim, riding boots, skirts, etc. Will look great tucked in, too. August 23, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Design Yay; Quality Sketchy I was delighted to see that my local Anthro was stocking this button-up. Of the many items I dragged into the fitting room this was one of my faves. Once on, the look does not disappoint. It is fairly long on my small frame (short girls look out) but this does not detract from its style possibilities. The pattern is delicate and subtle and the lace is placed to give this a unique edge and a drop of sexy. The material point blank See Through. This doesn't bother me since i'm a fan of the colored bralette underneath style, but for some it's a deal breaker. The cotton is also very thin making me wonder how many washes it might successfully withstand. Moreover, the stitching is precarious. It feels like a nice long yawning stretch would be enough to rip a seam or two. I do LOVE this piece, but the quality flaws were too great to overlook at this price. Maybe on sale. July 27, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pepin Buttondown This top is really pretty, with nice details, but it was boxy and unflattering on me. I am very curvy, and it was loose around my waist, but still pulled a bit at my chest. If button downs typically fit you well then this is a gorgeous shirt, but if you have any issues with buttons pulling or coming undone at the chest, then this shirt probably isn't for you. Size Guide

How to Measure

Measure under your arms at the fuller part of your bust. Keep tape level across your shoulder blades.

Natural Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably loose.

Drop Waist

Measure around your body 1 1/2" below your natural waist.

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Using a pair of your pants that fit well, measure from crotch seam to bottom of leg.

Wrap a length of string around your finger and mark where the end touches. Measure the distance between the end of the string and the mark you've made to determine what size to order.
