I saw this sweater coat in the store in red and loved the detail, i.e., the hood, toggle closing, combination of colors, fabrics, etc. Had a hard time deciding between the small and xs, but bought the xs. I usually wear a 2 or a 4. Even with the xs I was able to wear a blazer underneath. The fabric is unlined and therefore somewhat thin, but it's boiled wool so it's very dense. The cuffs fit snugly at the wrists making it feel warm and snugly. Though I have long arms, the sleeves were plenty long due to the ribbed cuffs and I did not find the sleeves to be too tight at all. Frankly, I'm surprised by the negative reviews..

Rated 1 out of 5Â by RachDC thin and awful fit
This sweater coat was a total disappointment. After reading the poor reviews I was still curious b/c the photo makes it look so adorable, but the moment I touched it I could tell it was going to be a flop. The fabric is odd, it's not really sweater material, not sure what it is....but it feels super cheap and for almost $200, I'd say it's a total miss. The fit is bad too, the arms are tight and on me the shoulders and chest were too, but I've got narrow shoulders and no chest so it was a surprise - then the flare - I totally agree w/another reviewer that it's almost like they didn't actually put it on a person before putting it on the sales floor....

Rated 5 out of 5Â by SusanInLA Beautiful and unique!
I never write reviews but I wanted to respond to the negative reviews of this product, which almost made me not buy this beautiful sweater! First, it is a SWEATER, not a coat, and it fits--as designed--closely through the shoulders and chest, then flares out in a trapeze shape. It fits on me exactly like it does on the model, and is adorable. I say it runs large because I have very broad shoulders and long arms and a S fits perfectly. (I should add that I have a small chest (32B) which is probably good for this cut.) Also, the material is thin boiled wool--I can see this might seem a strange texture if you're unfamiliar with this material, but I love boiled wool. The pockets, cuffs, collar, and hood are all interesting whimsical details that make this a classic Anthro piece. Love!
