Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for Upcoming Holidays I happened to be in my local Anthro store 2 weeks ago when this dress really caught my eye hanging in the store. The picture above doesn't do it justice. It just sparkles and shimmers and is fabulous for any upcoming holiday parties. I plan on wearing it for my parents' 40th anniversary party in December, the office holiday party, and any holiday dinners. One plus is that it is the rare dress that it has sleeves, which is great for winter, and I love that I can tie the belt to accentuate my waist. Plan on wearing with some fun earrings, tights and heels. FYI - The sleeves are a bit sheerer than the rest of the body of the dress. I'm also 5'1" so the dress is not as short as it looks like on the model in the picture (I bought a regular). The only other thing is that I did go a size up from my size 0 to a size 2 so that it flowed beautifully. Women who are pear shaped may want to try on one size up from their normal size. Rated 5 out of 5 by Lovely dress! I love this dress! I am 5'7, 130 lbs and the dress is a little longer on me than it appears on the model- I would say it hits midway between my knees and upper thighs. I ordered a 6 and it fit well- it had a classic shift shape without trying the sash, but was not too loose. Tying the sash definitely gives some definition to your waste. I was worried the gold "sequined" areas might be itchy as I have sensitive skin, however I didn't notice any irritation when I had the dress on. This would be great for dinner dates, holiday parties, and possibly even a less formal winter wedding. This is a welcomed new addition to my closet! November 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by As short as it appears on the model I love the concept of this dress. I agree with other reviewers that the stock photos don't quite capture the glimmery and vibrant nature of the fabric. For some reason, Anthro's European site shows a different model photo that captures the fabric in its true light. My only complaint is that it's too short. I tend to wear skirts and dresses that are a couple of inches above the knee, and this dress is definitely out of my comfort zone. The problem is that the lining is about 1.5" shorter than the outer silk layer. That makes the dress entirely way too short for my long torso'd 5'7" frame. It would be perfect for petites. Size Guide

How to Measure

Measure under your arms at the fuller part of your bust. Keep tape level across your shoulder blades.

Natural Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably loose.

Drop Waist

Measure around your body 1 1/2" below your natural waist.

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Using a pair of your pants that fit well, measure from crotch seam to bottom of leg.

Wrap a length of string around your finger and mark where the end touches. Measure the distance between the end of the string and the mark you've made to determine what size to order.
