Rated 5 out of 5 by BarleyWigglesworth Dear Pilcro Stet: You are wonderful
I'm 5'10", 155-160, size 8/10 on the bottom, size 6 on top, long legs and a little shortwaisted, and a 36-B-sometimes-C. I bought the 30 and they're skin tight and sexy without being uncomfortable. They fit well around the waistband- no muffin-top, no gaping in the back, and as another commenter mentioned, the rise is high enough to hold in the non-baby related squishy bump below my belly button without looking like mom jeans. I'm tall but I like the length- just short enough to look kind of 60's, but long enough to tuck into boots.
These jeans are amazing. As a test, I wore them to work, sat on my butt all day in my office chair (I've won one bronze, one silver, and three gold medals in the Sitting Down All Day Olympics), and by the end of the day- we're talking about 6 or 7 hours of straight sitting, they hadn't gotten baggy anywhere- not baggy in the knees, nor in the butt! But the story continues! After work, I went out with my guy and helped him finish off two appetizers, ate an entire taco salad, and a even had a refill of diet soda, and they were STILL comfortable! I'm wearing them to work again today (without washing them) and they still have not stretched out anywhere. Plus, you can tuck shirts into them since they look like regular (but sexier) jeans, but they'd also go great under tunics since they're so slim. That is magical! These jeans are Anthropologie witchery at it's best!
Expensive jeans, yes, but worth it! The last time I found the perfect jeans was 5 years ago, so I'll splurge this time and get the darker pair too.

I ordered these Pilcros in my usual denim size and in the petite option offered online. Although I did find the jeans to fit quite a bit more snugly than anticipated, I wouldn't say they run small necessarily. While they don't fit anything like the straight leg cut depicted in picture and description, they do run pretty true to size compared to designer skinnies (i.e., AG and JBrand#. Essentially, the Stet fits very close and stretchy from waist to shin.
The best thing about these jeans is the sturdy, medium weight fabric. It reminds me of the denim J.Crew used 10 years ago before they got hip and dumped quality. There is a nice thickness and smooth stretchiness to it that really enahnce comfort and mobility. Hopefully, this also bodes well for shape retention.
Some disappointment, sadly, arise when looking at the color/wash and length. Wallace is on the lighter side of medium with a natural looking sunbleached fade. It's nice enough, it really is, but somehow still strikes me as a little plain and a little lacking. The length is also a tad short, hitting just North of my ankle bone. These jeans have a definite casual look, which limits versatility.
All in all, the Pilcro Stet Ankle Slim is a good casual basic. They're cute, flattering, and comfortable. Nevertheless, not a must have at the current price point.
For a skinny fit, go with your true denim size. For a straighter more relaxed fit (as pictured on model), go up a size.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Hallie I too was confused when I put these jeans on--they don't fit me at all like the picture. They DO feel and fit exactly like the Pilcro thin cords I bought last year. To be honest, the fit like very tight skinny jeans--in my normal size. I can do a 25 or 26--bought these in 26 and wonder if I should have went up a size! They run small in my opinion.
I was looking for a more casual, comfortable jean in a lighter wash for a bit of versatility. The color of these is fine, and they definitely have the stretch factor going for them... Just wish they were roomier throughout the legs. I guess it just depends on what you're looking for.
