I'm serious, this is one of those great "hits" that Anthro is known for.
The Fit: This dress has a waist that is well positioned for nearly every figure. If you need defintion, it will help smooth and flatter that area. If you already have a teeny waist, it will just show it off more. The fact that the waist isn't too high or too low means that most heights can pull if off, too.
Large or small busted will look great in this scoop neck, tank style top half of the dress (though I'd recommend sizing down if you're very small busted since the top of the dress seemed a bit larger than the true to size waist and torso area.) If you have a larger lower waist/hip area, you may want to size up since the waist seam can appear to emphasize that area, visually, if it's not falling exactly where it needs to.
The arm holes are well proportioned, not too high or too low when you pick up your arm. You can easily wear a bra under the straps without them showing through.
The length is also great for most people. It will be longer on petites, but I still think it's flattering since it's not too short for taller ladies and it won't go into the dreaded lower-midi area on all but the shortest of ladies.
Fabric - Once again, Bordeaux does a great drapey fabric. This time, it's not sheer or thinner jersey, it has a thick, stretchy weight to it, almost like combining their great thin jersey with a neoprene dress. There's drape and weight, but there isn't as much movement as a typical jersey. It also has such a thick knit that it works as light compression, particularly if you sized down. The cable knit detail is really cute in person, but somehow at the same time, because it's all black, it sort of disappears into the dress. I think that makes it very versatile. I could see this as a day or work dress or as a great choice with sparkly jewelry and bright colored heels for a cocktail or holiday party.
Quality - I think this is well made. I've only worn it once, but it didn't stretch out, pill (though I doubt this fabric would, since it's so thick) or get longer as the evening wore on. :)
Bottom line: A great near-universally flattering style made with great, cool fabric. Versatile, seems like it will hold up well. You may want to try on a couple of sizes to make sure you get the best fit for your body type, but it seems like a winner for most people's figures!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by wiscogirl Swingy LBD, good quality, flattering.
This LBD is made of fairly heavy material, so it's appropriate for fall and winter (with tights and a cardigan). It pulls on comfortably over your head (it is very stretchy) and feels like you are wearing pajamas. The dress I tried on in the story was normal to long-waisted, so you may want to get a petite if you are short-waisted. I am petite (5'2"), but I liked that the regular fell to the bottom of my knees, so I don't think I would hunt down the petite version. Overall, it's a lovely LBD, but I don't know that it's worth $168. I would wait for sale.

This is a lovely dress and I hope they bring it out in more colors! The fabric is heavy so it drapes beautifully. The cut of the neckline is perfect (not too revealing) and the skirt hangs and swings elegantly. It came to just below the knee on me (5'3", ordered a S) which was perfect -- there are not enough dresses that come to knee-length or just below! The fabric has a very distinctive texture that is more dramatic than the picture shows, so the dress is 'dressier' than it might seem from the picture. It could be dressed up or down because it's simple in its styling.
