I wore this dress to a recent wedidng and overall it was a smash hit. I love: the fabic- delicate and gold thread (literally gold spun), the ease of getting into the dress (side zipper plus functional buttons down the front), the long lenth provides elegance and the way it gathers, moves, and folds (even in the back of the dress) Disliked: The fit was a little too blousy for my at the waist so I added a belt, I don't like the knot at the throat and left the knot undone, deciding on the best color shoe/accessories was difficult (I went with a llight blush pink heels). Overall LOVED it and highly recommend.

An eye catching dress. The fabric is opulent, festive, an exquisite, exotic silk woven with gold metallic threads forming the intricate medallion patterns. It reminds me of old Venetian grandeur --blown glass chandeliers and red velvet upholstery in the sitting parlours of palazzos by the grand canal. Very vibrant colorway(yellow orange background with black outlines and hues of periwinkle and fuschia) flatters golden skin tones.. To contrast the texture, the dress silhouette itself is a simple shirtdress with a flattering pleated bodice and skirt. I tried a regular size 0 -- as shown, skirt falls tea length on my frame(5 ft, 100 lbs, 32A-26-34). As mentioned by others, the waist may have a tendency to hit higher than most prefer, but it suits and accents the smallest part of my short-waisted torso. The fabric is scratchy, not a smooth flowy silk, rather an intricate textured weave which lends the feel/hand a lovely dimension. Lightweight and slightly sheer, it comes with a lace-trimmed slip both adorable and a surprise. I feel the longer skirt length, self-tie bow at the neck and trim silhouette make for a slimming, elegant, ladylike look. Very easy to get in and out of as well, thanks to roomy side zip+hook eye closure on the side. Yes, it is pricey, however I do think the silk fabric, and details(brass sphere buttons, slip) speak of quality. Tempted to wait for it to be discounted, but I don't want to be sorry if I cannot find my size by then. While waiting for my turn at the register, ladies of all ages, from teens to a couple of golden grannies just kept walking up to this dress on its rack to admire and touch it. This dress is just dreamy and unique, I am enamored with its vintage bohemian elegance. I loved it on me, loved the way I felt in it, I feel my teenage daughter will someday want it for herself.

I tried this on in store and found that it looked just lovely! The dress is a nice weight fabric; not too heavy and a good, almost tea, length. I was concerned about fitting it over my head, but there is a side zip as well as button front to waist.
As other reviewers said, there is some shine to the dress, but not too much in my opinion. The shine is just enough to make this dress stand out and the color is exquisite.
The dress would probably look best on medium/brown and darker skin tones.
I usually wear a 4-6 in Anthro dresses and a 4 fit just fine. The waist is a tad high for my longer than average torso, but not too much that I would not keep the dress. A nice skinny belt dresses it up just great and can hide the waist a bit if needed.
Also, the dress is hand washable and I think it could be worn into fall.
The only con is the price. I have to wait for this one to go on sale and I will be waiting and watching patiently!
