Rated 3 out of 5 by Looks good on the hanger I tried this on at the store today and first of all, the sizing is way off. It might work in your normal size if you don't have curves and are straight-figured but I am not. The slip was so tight in my regular size 6. Also, getting the dress on is quite an ordeal. The slip is separate and almost impossible to get on while it is still attached to the dress. The belt must only be put on at the end. But even if you didn't care about spending 10 minutes trying to get the dress on, the fabric is a typical polyester and quite honestly, I can find a dress like this at Forever 21 for under $30. Rated 2 out of 5 by Pretty dress in concept! I was excited to receive this dress in the mail today. It's a very pretty maroon color and looked great out of the bag. The challenges began with trying to put it on. It's 2 pieces, the red slip underneath and the polka dot see-through layer over top. Fortunately the slip it detachable at the top of the shoulders (bra strap snaps) otherwise I doubt I'd have been able to pull the whole contraption over my shoulders and chest. The main problem seems to be that the slip is really tight. I also realized really quick-like that the silk/satin combination would be terrible to wear in the summer in any sort of heat or humidity. I could only imagine it clinging even more tightly with all the sweat it would surely generate here on the sweltering East Coast. The top layer slips on easier (and that's relative after the struggle to get the tight-on-top slip over and down) thanks to a zipper, which you have to fully remove the belt to use. Argh. So after all this, I found myself finally wearing a very pretty, completely see-through top layer over a way-too-short, skin-tight, gawd-awful-hot red slip. So sad!! It's definitely going back. Maybe this dress would be better suited for the slim & less curvy figures out there (petite or tall)....who don't live in any sort of hot climate. July 9, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by You'd need a battle plan to put this dress on I like the idea of this dress- the color is fantastic, but I'm afraid that that's where my liking of this dress stops. It's nearly impossible to put on; you have detach both the belt and the slip underneath, put the slip on, and then the dress on over it. The dress is also a bit shapeless, even with a belt on, and the front gaped open on me (32B). The fabric also feels cheap and the dress is poorly constructed; certainly not worth the price for it.
