Rated 4 out of 5 by Summer safari dress Wow, this really fit once I managed to get it on. There is a half zip that goes from the armhole down to the waist, then several of the wooden buttons need to be undone. I did not need to unbutton the collar. Fine fit for a petite, maybe a tiny bit loose overall. The size I tried was 0 (00 on the dress label) and I'm 5'2", 32-24-35 with narrow shoulders and torso, and a long waist. It came to my natural waist, and to my knees. The lower skirt part was a bit see-through, but not terrible. The linen pleats were basted shut, and I'm not sure how well they last through the day being linen. They did fall well, even tin the back despite my curvy bottom. The top part is more of a cotton ticking, and should wear well. No pockets, but that would be hard to do in a pleated dress. April 19, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Weird aprony shape The top of this dress is great. I love the simplicity and the collar which you can wear up or flatten down. The bottom is a mess though. The material is somewhat sheer - I had on black tights and you could see the black color through it. It's unlined, so I think you'd need a slip in case you are ever backlit. Even forgiving that, the pleats look really out of place and give the whole thing the appearance of an apron. The material is rough and the shape is weird. It doesn't actually look as a-line as the picture, more of straight skirt with an unfortunate bulge in the middle. It's too bad. I wanted to like it, but it felt like a really elegant top attached to a sack on the bottom. June 8, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Problem with the buttons Love the design and overall feel of this dress. Classic design with a twist. Could work really well as a dress for work and after in the summer months. There was a real problem with the buttons on this dress, nearly impossible to unhook the top buttons and the design of the lower half of the dress is only a tiny bit better. Thanks for the elegant look but a more practical closure would have made this a much better item! April 9, 2012
