Rated 1 out of 5 by A Comforter to Dye For It's beautiful, unique, and looks fabulous on your bed. DON'T DO IT. I wish I read the reviews BEFORE I washed it. On cold. Gentle cycle. And, it was utterly destroyed! I was so disappointed. I dare say I was even crushed. The green embroidery left yellow blotches in unfortunate places and the blue leaked out awkwardly. I didn't realize that this was a common problem until I went online to contemplate ordering a second. I thought maybe it was a fluke? But no. This puppy is dry clean only. I'm kind of bummed I wasted so much money. October 7, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Leaking Dye and Incorrect Instructions I ordered this duvet for my college dorm, and when it arrived I was so excited. The fabric was soft and beautiful, and the embroidery a delicate and perfect accent. I followed the washing directions (machine wash cold), but when I took it out from the washer I found that the embroidery dye had leaked all over the white duvet! Apparently the duvet is not machine washable, I am returning the product ASAP. The design was great and the quality seemed very good, but the dye leaked everywhere and ruined the duvet. In the future I will only dry clean such products. Anthropologie - fix your labels! August 12, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Tragic duvet! I loved the idea of this modern grey lithographic print meets vibrant India theme. It could have gone so well with our bedroom decor, but after one wash (machine wash cold, per care tag), the vibrant embroidery bled into the tree landscape, breaking the clean combination of the two distinct themes. It would have been interesting and possibly quite beautiful if it had distributed the turquoise blues less heavily around the embroidery and somewhat evenly throughout the canvas of duvet—the sort of sweet imperfection achieved by a skilled artist and observed by a trained eye. Instead it just looked like a mistake. If you cannot live without, figure out a way to wash this without letting the color bleed into the clean off-white spaces. Otherwise, to avoid this piece is to forgo utter disappointment. I have yet to determine my own path. On a more positive note, Anthro will be allowing me to return/exchange this item. Thank goodness for their generous return policy! August 10, 2012
