Rated 5 out of 5 by perfect for skinny calves I ended up buying these from another supplier because they were sold out here in my size. I I have been looking for boots to fit my skinny legs for years and even bought a pair of Duo boots from England a few years ago which are custom made to calf measurements. The ankles ended up being baggy and the length too short, not to mention the boot looked cheap considering the price. Width- I have a narrow foot and usually wear a 9.5-10, I bought a 40.5 which is in line with my usual size. I am able to wear a pair of thick socks with them without a problem. If you have wide feet, you will want to size up. Boot height and circumference- I am 5'11" , 135 #, my calf measurement is 13.5 inches, ankle is 8.5 inches. In the 40.5, the boot ankle measurement is 11 inches, calf is 14 inches, boot opening is 15 inches and height is 17 inches. I would have liked the boot to be overall and inch or so narrower in circumference as they would better fit my twig legs but they don't look bad with just tights or bare legs and they work with my skinny jeans tucked in. The saving grace in these boots is the tapered ankle, this helps them avoid looking like rain boots on my legs. They will be quite versatile Quality- extremely high quality boot, leather is soft and rich looking. Very comfortable in the sole. Price is high but fair for the quality and fit, they will last for years. October 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by YES the perfect boot! You need to buy these babies before they sell out! I purchased mine from another dealer because I coudln't find them *anywhere* (and yet, a day after I received them in the mail, they pop up on anthro's site!). They were selling out so fast! You can see why: they are so sleek and simple. Just enough ruggedness to pair with a casual outfit, yet just enough sophistication to pair with something classier. Coclico is known for its simplicity. No fancy bells or whistles. Just a versatile boot! If these came in a brown, I'd snag them up too! The leather on these beauties, as with all Coclico footwear, is super soft and quality is always superb. As for the fit, if you have wide platypus feet like myself, you may want to size up. Unfortunately anthro only has whole sizes but you may find the half sizes on other websites if they haven't sold out already (just google coclico windy). I usually take an 8 but Coclico tends to run a bit small so I ended up keeping the 39. They are super comfy and the chunky, yet not *too* chunky, heel is a nice height without being uncomfy. The circumference will fit most skinny to normal calves. Mine are 12 inches (toothpick, I know!) and even though the circumference could've been a half inch or so smaller, my legs don't look like they're swimming in them. The tailored skinnier ankle helps to give it a non rain-boot type feel. I'm 5'5" and they come right below my knee. YES they are expensive but if you've been searching and searching for THE perfect pair of boots, at least try these on! Especially if you're tired of seeing boots that have a touch of cowboy to them. You won't believe how versatile these will be! All of Coclico's footwear are hand made in Spain and they are made to last! Many years! So get yourself some! They are tee-totally worth it! Rated 5 out of 5 by Anthropologie, you just changed my LIFE I have been searching for a pair of classic, stylish, well-made black knee-high boots for literally twelve years. A DOZEN YEARS OF MY LIFE. I am 5'6", 100 lbs, and fairly leggy. I have tiny little toothpick legs. Growing up, I always thought that the most feminine of all feminine looks was a pretty knee-length skirt coupled with some lovely tights and beautiful boots. High and low I searched. High and low. To no avail. And then -- and then -- Anthropologie changed my life. These boots are incredibly perfect. Perfect heel, perfect shaft height, and -- I cannot believe I am typing this -- but the boot circumference and the ankle ACTUALLY FIT MY TINY ANKLES AND SKINNY LEGS. I have never, EVER spent this much money on any single item of clothing or footwear. This is actually about two times MORE than I have ever spent on anything. AND THESE BOOTS ARE WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY. OK, some logistics to help out the rest of you. The boot hits me right below my knee. The ankle is snug. The boot runs about a half a size small. I am a true 6.5 and I bought the 37, which is a little snug at first but immediately this impeccable ultra high quality leather begins to mold to your feet. Overall, this is a shoe made of exceptional quality materials. In terms of comfort, the heel is not even noticeable -- they feel like flat boots. The toe box is rounded so my normal width feet have plenty of room. I wore them with regular (not thick) socks and intend to wear them with sweater tights and fleece leggings, too. For me, they fit over my skinny jeans, but that's because I am such a twig. Seriously. If you have never managed to find boots that fit you because you are very slender, give these a try. I actually live near the one Coclico boutique in Nolita and I still bought these online from Anthro as a token of my gratitude (the S&H is a "finder's fee" in my book; I would have never known about Coclico or found these stunning boots had it not been for Anthropologie). Anthropologie, I cannot thank you enough. JulesMilo, you too. Your reviews are always the most helpful to me; you are my style twin. October 12, 2012

Size Guide

How to Measure

Measure under your arms at the fuller part of your bust. Keep tape level across your shoulder blades.

Natural Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably loose.

Drop Waist

Measure around your body 1 1/2" below your natural waist.

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Using a pair of your pants that fit well, measure from crotch seam to bottom of leg.

Wrap a length of string around your finger and mark where the end touches. Measure the distance between the end of the string and the mark you've made to determine what size to order.
