I bought slip on boots last year on sale with a primitive kilm carpeting cuff. I loved them so much I bought these too. I thought they would be a further iteration. These boat shoe/booties have a more manufactured feel rather than primitive feel. They have a soft squeegee boat shoe sole and the cuff is more the texture of of a rough canvas than tapestry. I patiently l.oosened the rugged leather laces completely and will probably wear the laces loose with jeans tucked in. They were snug to slip on and narrow but comfortable to walk in. The shoe leather is thick and soft. I am exchanging them for 1 full size larger so I can wear heavy socks

I was so excited to get these boots in the mail. They look so adorable in the photo. Unfortunately, this is probably the most disappointing Anthro purchase I have ever made! Right off the bat, pulling these boots out of the box, I was disappointed. They are definitely not as cute as the picture. Next, I decided to try them on and see if maybe they looked better on. Well, they are nearly impossible to get on. The laces are leather strips and are just ridiculous to loosen. Then, actually maneuvering your foot into the boot is a total nightmare in itself. The boots are extremely stiff and with them being tall, it is really quite a task to get your foot in. Once on, the comfort of these boots just solidifies my dislike. They are sooo incredibly uncomfortable. They are very narrow at the toes (and I do not have wide feet), and the heel pokes out into your foot. They are also very stiff, like I mentioned early. Maybe with some wear, they will loosen up and become more comfortable, but overall, very disappointing!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by MonPetitMiel After purchasing these boots, my other shoes have been somewhat neglected. I read the other 4-5 reviews posted at the time of my purchase and took the advice to order 1/2 size up so I could wear them with thick socks. The leather is a bit stiff which is to be expected from any handmade utility boot, but it was nothing a day at the flea market didn't fix!
