At first I was in love when I got this rug in turquoise for my living room. It was soft and the design was beautiful. The quality, however, is extremely poor. I've only had this rug for about 30 days and the amount it sheds is ridiculous. I have balls of wool blowing around my floors constantly like tumbleweeds because so much comes out. Even if you lightly run your fingers over the rug you will pull up stray wool bits like pieces of hair. Often in clumps. Note: this rug is NOT placed in a high traffic area in my home. I cannot even imagine the state this rug would be if I used in somewhere I walked every day or as a runner. Already the rug looks matted and worn and like I said, it's been a MONTH. I don't even want to think about what it will look like after a year, which makes me so upset because I really did love this rug at first. I don't write reviews often but felt compelled to do so because this was truly an extremely disappointing purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Faint Needs proper care, but beautiful
I visited this rug for about two months before deciding to buy it because the reviews scared me off. Now that I have it, I feel like I need to stand up for it because it's so soft and beautiful!
This is a cut-end wool rug, so YES, it sheds. I've had it for about a month, and the shedding is more minimal now, but I expect it will continue for several months as cut wool does. I put a thick rug pad under it, which helps keep it in place (less shedding, less impact), and I have been vacuuming lightly about every 3 days (no rolling brush on my vacuum). It's in the middle of my living room, so it's in a high traffic area. As long as you are willing to give it proper care, the shedding won't be a big deal and gets less over time. I have the blue, and the color and plush feel don't disappoint.
