by faeriesdragon Runs 1 full size large, has some weird issues
I was so excited to get this cardigan! I love little touches of whimsy and this was one giant touch of it that I was truly looking forward to. Now that I actually have the cardigan, I am on the fence. I love the colors and the watercolor-esque look of the piece. I love the giraffe, the pockets and it is incredibly soft. However, there are some issues I am not sure I can overcome. The very first thing I noticed when opening the package was that between the giraffe's foot and the pocket I have a large gap of white where there should be gray. It's not extremely noticeable but it's enough to bother me a bit. Then, not only does the sweater run large which I normally don't mind, it fits strangely. I'm very hippy, and the length goes right over my hips to mid thigh (I'm 5'6") because of the length and the fact that the sweater has an almost balloon shape at the bottom, I feel it make me look quite bottom heavy. The sleeves do the same thing, they kind of bell at the sleeves which you can see in the product shot if you look closely. As a result, the sleeves can end up looking like a sweatshirt instead of a fitted cardigan. Because of the emphasis on my hips, I don't really like this cardigan buttoned, I prefer it open. (I've shared photos both ways.) The buttons are metal with a kind of tortoiseshell appearance to them and of course the back continues the watercolor scheme. It's a pretty lightweight sweater so it will keep you warm on cool days but I don't foresee this being a cardigan that can pull multiple season duty, unfortunately. Because of the colors and subject matter, I see this being Spring & Summer only. It's an extremely well made sweater, my only reservation in terms of quality is the softness. Kind of a double edged sword, I can see the fabric pilling relatively easily. I'm on the fence with this cardigan more than anything I have ever purchased at Anthropologie. I'm not sure at this point what I will do. I plan to keep it for a few days and ask some friends/family and I'll go with the general consensus, but at this point I think I am leaning ever so slightly toward returning. I'm normally a size M in Anthro items, occasionally a S. I'm 145 lbs, 5'6", 36C/28/38, hourglass and I could most definitely do a S in this cardigan, so I would say size down from your usual unless you are larger in the bust or hips then I would go with your usual. I hope all this helps! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by dle90742 Love this cardigan!
This just became my new favorite sweater. Since receiving it a week ago, I've already worn it twice: over a long black dress for work; and over a tank top and jeans to meet friends for lunch. It's quirky without being garish and very comfortable. The pockets are well placed so they are nice to use, but don't add bulk. I know I'll get a lot of wear out of this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by pinkpants Same as last year's Pooch Posse Cardigan
I purchased last year's version of this cardigan, the Pooch Posse Cardigan. It was incorrectly labeled online as being made by Fiets Voor 2 but both are actually made by Moth. It is 100% cotton and has held up wonderfully, even with frequent wearing! Mine still looks brand new.
Anyways, it does run large and might be too long for shorter gals! Read last year's reviews for confirmation. I am almost always a large and felt the medium fit more like a large.
I purchased both cardigans in medium. I am delighted that they cover my bum and the sleeve length is generous for my 5'10" arms! The model shots for the Pooch Posse Cardigan are exactly how the cardigans fit me, although the arms are a touch tighter on me as I have I bigger arms.
The blues and greens in this year's version are a little brighter in person than my monitor shows. I see myself wearing this most with skinnies and boots/flats but can also picture wearing it over simple sundresses. I am happy with both purchases and can't wait for next year's version.
