This reminds me of the sorts of dresses that Anthro put out several years ago; I love it!
I bought this for my birthday, and I'm just so excited to have purchased this dress. The print is perfectly placed (no crossing your fingers when ordering, just hoping that the leopard's not cut off at the seam or something!) and clear--no question about what exactly it is.
I was pleasantly surprised at the substantial fabric; it's thick and heavy, similar to linen--warm enough for the in-between months. As another reviewer mentioned, this has enough tulle underneath to maintain its shape, and is lined with very soft fabric. It's strange that the product shot doesn't include an image with the removable straps attached, but not to worry: they are secured with sturdy buttons, and are solid black and about an inch wide.
Most important (to me, anyway): this beautiful dress is TTS. I am just a 32B, somewhere between a 0 and a 2 depending on the brand and cut, and I often have a hard time keeping strapless dresses in place--even when they are the right size and I use a padded bra--and this strapless-dress kick Anthro seems to be on as of late often excludes me. But this dress has stayed up and perfectly in place all day, with the straps and without!
It is an extremely comfortable dress, and one that is truly unique. The neutral colors can easily go with so many different pieces; the print itself is perfectly reminiscent of 19th-century exploration, and the cross-section at the bust is an eye-catching touch--it's a striking contrast to the pattern, and it flatters the shape.
If you're uncertain, please try it. THIS is the ultimate "leopard print"... You can't go unnoticed in such a beautiful dress!

i have so many good things to say about this dress - the material is great and sturdy, the print and design stand out, the fit is good, the shoulder straps are thick and work with a bra and are not flimsy like on some other dresses...
I sized down to my smaller size 2, i'm often between sizes and even though i plan to use the shoulder straps (they actually look great, they button up and are sturdy and FUNCTIONAL), the size 2 was wore flattering to my waist, but size 4 was a little more comfortable, the length wasn't different so I went for the more flattering fitted size 2....

It's a great print, but the proportions seem a bit off to me. The bodice so so short in relation to the skirt that it makes me feel a bit childish. The optional straps on it also have this effect since they are positioned closer in on the top. The tulle also contributes to that effect.
I love the print from the front, but it doesn't wrap around - it's just two panels that are the same stitched together, so it's not quite as great from the sides. I'm going to wait for the sale...
