Rated 1 out of 5 by Quality Deteriorates Over Time I bought my mug a little over a year ago and found that over time the liquid content began seeping through the cracks. This did not immediately occur during the first 6-8 months but began shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, although I love the design, I am going to have to stop using this mug. I only drank tea and coffee from this mug and hand washed it with warm water and soap. Even after washing several times, I would still see brown tea seeping through when there was only hot water in the mug. Or I would see black coffee seeping through when drinking chamomile tea. Rated 4 out of 5 by Undoubtedly one of the most charming gifts to give from Anthro. I've given them as hostess, birthday, and teacher gifts. The price can't be beat for such a cute and personalized offering. I have one for myself, and my only issue is the quality. The ceramic is very thin, and therefore when you fill it with a hot beverage, the mug itself (not necessarily the handle) gets extremely hot! Much moreso than any other mug in my cabinet. Not a huge deal, especially at this price. I just thought I'd mention it. August 28, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Beautiful but not functional I loved how pretty these mugs are and gave them as gifts. If you're planning to use them as decorative pieces for storing pencils and pens etc. at your desk they're perfect. If you actually want to use this has a mug, be aware that the handle placement is awkward, even dangerous if you have hot liquid in the mug because curling your finger through the handle will cause the mug to tilt sideways. It is very awkward and uncomfortable if you're actually trying to drink out of it. This is very poor design in terms of functionality and simply placing the handle higher would have fixed it. Disappointed and a bit embarrassed (b/c gave them as gifts!) November 26, 2011
