I agree with all the other users about the inability to set your own amount. I'm told "That's pre-set in the system," and had to explain that was exactly what customers didn't like.
Some other reviews noted delivery problems, and I think I know the answer ... apparently the e-mail arrives with a cutesy subject line like "Something special for you" and the recipient figures it's just more retail spam from Anthropologie and deletes it without reading it. It really should clearly say "Someone sent you a gift card." I sent a card to my daughter and she didn't realize she'd gotten it, just assumed it was spam and deleted it. I asked her to look again after contacting Anthropologie and asking them to resend. Then she realized what had happened.
Judging from the other comments, I bet she's not the only one who did that.

I received a gift card bought in a real shop but while I tried to use it online as the shop specified it could be, I had no NIP to enter as required by the website. If you do not have a NIP, it is said to contact them on a phone number which is not in service anymore, replaced by a email address. After sending my email I had a quick answer with a few questions, but it took at least ten exchanges of email on many days to finally get my NIP and be able to use it online. A true puzzle ! And the person I talked to by email told me she was the only one answering to all emails for the french zone. This is why it took so long, but for a shop with this kind of prices I would have appreciate more disponibility ! I finally placed my order and I am looking forward to receive it now !!!

I ordered an "e-card" for a gift. I received notice it was being mailed to my billing address! Very disappointing. Why would you mail an e-card? I thought that was the point? That it would be e-mailed to the recipient. Now it is a week after Christmas and my daughter-in-law doesn't have her gift. Not a happy customer.
