by aliasQT Amazing details and fit!
This is a gorgeous dress with amazing details by Byron Lars. The man is a genius! The pics do not do the dress justice. The contrasting colors, patterns and cutouts somehow work so well together. This is a very form fitting dress but b/c the side panels are stretchy with lots of give, I can still walk comfortably in this dress. The bust was a little challenging for my petite frame to fill out but not bad overall. If you have a fuller bust, this would look great on you! I am 5'1' and 101 lbs and bought both the petite 00 and the petite 0 to see which fit better. The 00 was way too tight and I could not button it closed. For reference the 00 P is 12 inches at waist laying flat and 29 inches long from underarm to bottom of dress. The 0 petite was perfect for me. The 0 P is 13 inches at waist laying flat, 29 inches long from underarm to bottom so the difference is that it is 1 inch wider. The length is the same. I needed to unbutton all the buttons that were possible to unbutton in front to get it on but it is worth the effort. This is a gorgeous dress and I will keep my eye out for his other designs! The quality and workmanship are amazing so worth the price!

This dress really is gorgeous - the colors really pop in person! Not nearly as dusty-hued as appears online, but makes it perfect for spring. Fit is very similar to the other Byron Lars lasercut sheath - elastic ruched panels on the sides make it a bit more accommodating for us curvy girls, is incredibly flattering and comfortable all at once. I tried it on after a pretty heavy meal; not something I would recommend, but it was still very slimming. It's fully lined everywhere except the light-colored bust portion... you know, right where you'd really want it. I tried it with a black bra though, and it wasn't too terrible (see photos). There is no zip, so you have to unbutton it to about the bellybutton to slip it on (dress is sewn together past that point). It's a bit of a pain, but not so bad. Cap sleeves are a touch restricting - not uncomfortable, but can't really reach straight up (if that's important to you).
Only caveat: the bust runs really small. I'm a 2/4 (32DD/26/37) in all Anthro dresses, but have to take a 4 in Byron Lars strictly for the bust. The 4 fit, but as you can see from the photos the bust was at its limit - no gapping or anything, but you could see my bra peeking out from the armpit. I also really wish it wasn't poly at this price-point, but it's not a surprise for this brand.

I knew this was going to sell out fast and boy did it. I ordered mine within a day of being released online and within 3 days it was sold out and then back ordered until the end of May! Unless on the off chance there are left overs, this will not make it to sale in my opinion.
I am totally anti-polyester and write tons of reviews saying great top but too bad it's polyester and I usually will not buy anything made out of it at all. This designer seems to be the exception. The dress is so well made inside and out that you don't even think of it as a poly dress, that and given the intricate detail and seaming its' likely the best fabric choice for this dress' style. So as long is it doesn't pile and holds up I am happy.
The fit is perfect, I did not have an issue with the arm openings being too small. I am a 14 on top and the 12 fit fine. If you are not busty, you can likely size down due to the rouching on the sides. Totally beautiful, definately a head turner. The color combos are so unique and begging for a spring outing! Grab it while you can!
