Rated 4 out of 5 by I tried this dress on in a size 0 (5'1, 32A, 105 lbs) in the store and fell in love with the concept, though it did not fit. I love the fit and flare style, and this one seems to be a classic shape in a classic pattern that would last for a long time. The fabric is thick and sturdy, and the construction seems excellent. It's a black base, and the diamonds are not a true white, they have a gray tone to them and are embroidered. The one I tried was in great condition, though snags are possible. It's lined with lime green mesh, and the hem of the lining is black lace. It definitely runs quite large, as it was a good 2 inches wider than me in the torso (leftmost photo). The skirt is a true circle skirt, and that with the weight of the fabric makes it very voluminous on the bottom. The shape of the sleeve is a little odd as well. I was intrigued enough that I decided to order the petite version with free shipping, and tried the 0P and 00P. The 0P was still too big from the waist up; the 00P was much better up top (3 right photos). But there is just so much material that it flares out a lot and makes the skirt look and feel really short, and the extra fabric doesn't lay quite right when gravity takes over. Something about the proportions was just off, maybe because I have a pretty straight frame. I think the waistline could be a tad lower (rare that I say that) and the skirt could be longer but could stand to lose several inches wide of fabric, and then it would be nearly perfect. But sadly it just didn't work for me, though it really is a lovely dress and I bet would look amazing on someone with more curves. August 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Timeless, All-Season Dress Great heavier-weight dress to wear year-round. Sleeves are just the right length, cut through the bodice is very flattering, and the skirt is fun but sophisticated. In person, the dress actually appears to be black-based with a white pattern (online it looks to have a lot more white than it actually does). My only complaint is size. I am almost always a size 2 in A-line or full-skirt dresses like this one, but the 0 is still loose under my bust and in the arm holes, showing my bra a bit. My measurements are 34-26-36 for reference. August 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hits the mark! Welcome Fall with this lovely transitional dress by Maeve! Reminiscent of old school glamour, this heavier weight poly jacquard is nicely textured in an overall flattering check. The classic black and white is underscored by yellow linings in the bodice and sleeves. FITS LIKE A DREAM, and is TTS, I took my normal size 6 without even trying it on! This is one time that I don't mind poly because of the nice texture and fabric give that allows the dress to mold to your body, but hold you in as well. The fit and flare styling has the perfect length touching just at the top of the knee! I couldn't resist buying at full price because it has everything I look for and love in a dress. Wardrobe staple alert! Can be worn to work, school, church and for business, but will look just as lovely dressed up for dinner with heels and a statement necklace and bag. Looks nice on all age groups too. Love, love, love! August 17, 2012

Size Guide

How to Measure

Bust

Measure under your arms at the fuller part of your bust. Keep tape level across your shoulder blades.

Natural Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably loose.

Drop Waist

Measure around your body 1 1/2" below your natural waist.

Hips

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Inseam

Using a pair of your pants that fit well, measure from crotch seam to bottom of leg.

Rings

Wrap a length of string around your finger and mark where the end touches. Measure the distance between the end of the string and the mark you've made to determine what size to order.
