Rated 4 out of 5 by These boots are sturdy, comfy, and definitely a quality pair. I purchased them in the beige color, which is a little more bronze-y taupe in real life...just a bit darker than shown in the photo. The handpainting didn't seem overdone or forced, which was a plus. However, they are hand made. My right boot ran about half an inch wider than the left, but not enough to send back and size down. I would say they run on the wide side in general, so if you have narrower feet, definitely take a size down. The PS Kaufman website recommends this as well. They were super comfortable out of the box and hardly need any breaking-in time. If you like the quirk of the hand painting, these are the shoes for you. November 23, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Utterly wonderful Okay - these are SO AMAZING I may wind up ordering the beige as well. Not only are they wonderfully playful and unique (I get compliments all the time) but they fit perfectly and are incredibly comfortable from the get-go. i typically walk 3-6 miles every day, and from the very first these babies felt like they were made for me. The body of the boot is constructed of double-walled leather that is buttery soft, but the two layers means that they are also sturdy and will be around for years. The hand-burnished and painted finish just seem to get more interesting with wear and goes well with a variety of looks. And lastly, the soles are covered with re-purposed tire rubber which makes them springy, nearly silent, and offers great traction with those unexpected ice patches Chicago winters are known for. Cannot recommend highly enough! January 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazingly funky but classic and sturdy The detail is unique. The lining is a surprise. I feel they are timeless and can be worn from October to May. Anthro should have more shoes that are so artisan-inspired but useful and classic. February 8, 2013

Size Guide

How to Measure

Measure under your arms at the fuller part of your bust. Keep tape level across your shoulder blades.

Natural Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably loose.

Drop Waist

Measure around your body 1 1/2" below your natural waist.

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Using a pair of your pants that fit well, measure from crotch seam to bottom of leg.

Wrap a length of string around your finger and mark where the end touches. Measure the distance between the end of the string and the mark you've made to determine what size to order.
