Rated 3 out of 5 by Not Impressed! The online image of this bracelet is brilliant. But the bracelet that arrived in the mail looks nothing like it. Why are both Amethyst and Glass used in the description? The beads are either Amethyst or Glass. They can't be both. Amethyst is quartz that had impurities that turned it purple when the crystals formed. Quartz is the most common mineral on the planet. The bracelet in the image is made from 14 large, high quality, faceted Russian Amethyst beads. The striated and bubble like inclusions are gorgeous. The solitary 14K gold foiled disc situated among the pinkish purple gemstones, adds the perfect touch that makes this bracelet unique. Even though the bracelet is strung on cheap elastic cord, I was willing to throw down full price for those lovely, eye catching stones. The bracelet that arrived in the mail appears entirely different from the online image. This bracelet is made from 17 much smaller, cheaper, Saturn and Chevron Amethyst beads. They have a smooth (un-faceted) finish, and milky white striations. At least half the beads are cracked or chipped. Some have their ends sheared off where the holes were drilled. They are dull purple and do not reflect light like the faceted beads in the online image. The attached image of the bracelet I received was taken in sunlight to show the beautiful pink-ish purple Amethyst. The solitary round gold bead reminds me of a disco ball, and does nothing to make this bracelet special or unique. This bracelet does not warrant the asking price. It looks and feels like a cheap stretchy bracelet. At first I seriously thought the bracelet was made from marbles. So I did some research and I’m somewhat assured the beads are real Amethyst, even though they look like common marbles to me. For obvious reasons, I can’t break one to find out. The bracelet fit perfectly on my 61/4" wrist. Warning: The elastic cord is very stiff. This may not be comfortable if your wrist is larger than 61/2” and all the bracelets are consistent in size. I find it highly deceiving to use an image of a bracelet that is made from entirely different materials. I can’t recommend an item that was falsely represented and found to be of lower quality and value. I’m very disappointed in this designer for changing out the materials. I want the seriously gorgeous bracelet in the photos, not the one I received. February 10, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Big disappointment The bracelet I received is nothing like the one in Anthro pic. The color is purple that's about it. 1. Surface finish: Mine is just smooth surface. 2. Color: Mine is not as vibrant. Actually very dull. 3. Gold bead: Mine is round ugly bead. I compared with Sisco Berluti website and they did not have the exact same kind like this on Anthro, especially the gold bead, that's why I ordered from Anthro at the higher price than Sisco Berluti's. But the bracelet I received is a lot less prettier. I will of course return this. February 12, 2014

PURPLE Style #:31410673

Drawn to the variety of textures of beads from around the world, sisters Lisa Sisco and Carolyn Berluti began stringing bracelets as personalized gifts for family and friends. Soon after, as word of mouth took over and boutiques clamored, they launched their stacked-to-perfection line of beaded bracelets. We love this one's marbled purple hues and light-catching sparkle.
