First let me say that I love Anthro mugs...usually. This one missed the mark with me.
I ordered it as a gift to go along with other kitchen wares - including more Anthro mugs - I decided to keep it because it didn't stack up to the others (and it cost too much compared to the actual price to return via shipping). Why don't I love it?
Well, for starters the sweet little flower under the handle was only about half painted. On the half that was painted, it appears that the brush missed its aim and slid across the handle leaving an aqua "blob" on the orange about 1/4" long. I would have dismissed this as 'character', and possibly even admired it, but the rest of the mug does not appear to be hand painted. The flowers look pixelated, especially where the color is light/thin - like someone stippled parts of it, but not others.
I would instead recommend the Kebaya, With A Twist, Sip of Nectar, or Kinetic mugs - I have multiples of all and have also given most as gifts. As a side note: the Kinetic holds the smallest volume, but is oh-so-lovely with it's raised dots; adding delightful texture in addition to the modern design.

We love this mug at hour farm house. It is a nice size for tea or coffee but also perfectly large enought for a small bowl of cereal. I have also used it to photogrpah indredients for recipes.

When i ordered this cup, i thought it might be a tiny, dainty, fragile teacup, maybe only to be brought out on special occasions. I could go on and on about how beautiful it is, the colors, inside and out, the design, its lovely. But i was really happy to find that this cup is thick, sturdy china , and its larger than i anticipated. It holds a large cup of coffee, not just a tiny amount that I expected. Another plus is that when i microwave my coffee in it, the china doesn't get super hot like my other mugs and cups, i can still hold the cup without being burned, but can still feel warmth. Its beautiful and feminine and perfect if you ask me. I HIGHLY recommend it if its your style.
