I splurged and made this tureen the star of my dinner table on Thanksgiving. It's a pretty large piece, bigger than you would think by the picture here, and the feet are amazingly detailed. I picked it up at the store, and had to have them switch it out for the only other one there because a toe was chipped which reminds me to be careful when washing it!
I liked the feet on the tureen better than those on the open bowl that is also offered....they were more lion-like. The ladle has the face of a lion on its handle, which I didn't see clearly on the website.'
It was a huge hit, surrounded by holly and white pine for the occasion. I may also get the platter!

I have been looking for a soup tureen for a LONNNGGGG time from antique stores to websites, etc. I am in love with this. It is so unique and beautiful. I have it displayed on my sideboard - way way too beautiful to store away.

After scouring the web for hours looking for the perfect tureen, I decided to see what Anthro had to offer. The Beast Feast is by far the most unique and character-rich tureen I found. I knew immediately this was the one for me. The clawed feet were just irresistible. I absolutely love animals and folklore-inspired dinnerware so this was too perfect.
The quality is quite good, as well. It is larger than it looks in the photos, so that was a nice surprise too. It is rather delicate, so cleaning requires some care. Clean white finish goes with all sorts of serving bowls and platters. Overall, it is one of my favorite pieces.
