I had been pining over this piece for years and due to the high price tag, pining was as close as I could get to it. I finally decided to cash out some bonds that my late Grandmother left to me in order to purchase this beautiful candelabra. She had wanted me to buy something special that would remind me of her.
Now, after receiving and returning 2 very poorly crafted candelabras, I have given up. I am very frustrated and disappointed that I have nothing to show after all of the time and effort spent. This product is, in my opinion, over priced for what you get. As I stated, I received 2 candelabras - they both had rough gouges right through the glaze which exposed the clay and even altered the form in some spots. There were also some small rough black pieces fired into the glaze. Also, the piece is a cold white color, not a soft creamy white - this may matter to some customers. "Imported" means made in China.
I paid for this piece online with a Gift Certificate that I purchased in a Store with the cash from my Grandmother. Customer Service WILL NOT issue me a check for reimbursement - they have issued me a Store Credit. So, sadly, I have a store credit for Anthropologie...a company that, in my experience, sent me on two separate occasions two damaged products - high priced, damaged products. This experience has left me feeling that they do not value my time or patronage.
I hope that you have a different experience if you still purchase this piece.

I saw this exquisite piece while visiting the San Antonio or Austin store. I visited both stores in a two-day time period, so I can't remember where I saw it. This piece is truly amazing to behold. The scale is emense which only adds to the glory of this creative work! I would have it front and center as a room focal point if I could rationalize the expenditure at this time. My only hesitancy is that the piece I experienced had a rough place perhaps due to missing glaze and the flaw was immediately noticable to me and my daughter upon up-close observation. I expect that was a fluke and should hope not a concern for someone purchasing online. If you can swing the price and are on the fence: GO FOR IT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by EPHaggis AMAZING!
I first saw this amazing piece of work at the Rockefeller Center Anthropologie store. I was in NYC shopping for my wedding gown and my sister wanted to stop by Anthro. As soon as I saw the dining room table setting with this crazy menagerie of animals as the ceterpiece I knew I had to have it at my wedding! While the price tag is pretty huge, it is well worth it. It is much larger than it appears online and feels solid. At our wedding, all our guests commented on how wonderful the centerpiece of animals looked and many thought it might have been a family heirloom (it will be from now on). If you are looking for a statement piece, this is it!
