Rated 4 out of 5 by knitwit Cute little light for a warm, pleasant glow
I saw this little owl in the store, and it reminded me of a nightlight I had when I was small. So there was some emotion behind the purchase. But the light is a great size for a bedside table, has just enough of a glow for reading, and is cute to boot. (It's much brighter than you'd think.) The price is a wee high for what is basically a rough porcelain lamp, but other than that I am quite happy.

I was wandering aroung my local anthro because I had a gift card to spend and saw this guy (only one of them) sitting on a table in the home section. I thought it was just a knick knack at first since I had seen the owl pencil holder upstairs. I picked him up and saw a plug and just had to plug him in....he is so cute lit up. I would usually not spend $88 on a small lighted thing like this but I had that gift card and he was calling my name! I'm so glad I went ahead and bought this. It's adorable, great ambiant lighting and is really a great piece. I love it! Only four stars because I think for his size, he should probably be priced around $60-$65, though it is anthropologie and he is good quality. The pottery is thick and he is sturdy, I wish there was a little dent so the cord came out the back more evenly but it does sit level.

I bought this for our daughter's room but when it arrived I realized it was too lightweight and delicate (i.e. very likely to break if bumped or touched) for a child. I do wish that it had some kind of a grip or weighted base to keep it more "grounded." But on the bright side, no pun intended, it emits a perfectly lovely light when turned on. So we put it in the master bedroom as a reading and mood light and my husband and I both love it. For the sale price, it's definitely worth it.
