by cre8everyday GORGEOUS!! Won't go unnoticed!
I don't have much to say about this other than I LOVE IT!!!
Everyone that comes over notices and compliments my doorknob. I was a little deterred at first because it's so expensive (you can buy really beautiful glass knobs for a fraction of this price elsewhere), but I'm really glad that I splurged on it.
The only negative thing I could say is that the inside bolt was not the correct size, and I had to go out and buy a longer one. I don't know if this was specific to my door (it's a standard size door, so I don't think it should be...), or if they just selected this size without testing it.
In any case, it's a really cheap part to replace, and well worth the end result : )
(p.s. I had to take the picture with my cell phone, so I apologize if it's a little blurry!)

This doorknob, while beautiful, does not come with the necessary hardware you need to install it. Also, it does not fit with modern doors. After two trips to our wonderful hardware store to try and get the latching mechanism and screws to install this, we STILL can't get it in. Unless you want to visit lots of specialty shops and pay a lot more money to get the necessary things to use it, do not buy this. I think it is a real shame Anthropolgie would have something like this on their website and in their stores without alerting customers that it does NOT work in modern door frames. It is antique and will not work with any standard door made in the last several decades.

Just got this doorknob as a gift. Like the other reviewers, I thought the spindle was too short at first. Then I realized I could turn it and pull it out to fit almost any size door. Some instructions would clearly be helpful for others who didn't think to tinker with it a bit. But it's gorgeous. A great, unique gift for my new home!
