I got black ones for light, cotton drapes. The rods look nice, a little light and the paint looks like it will scratch easily. They came with hardware, which is a first for Anthro rods, so that was good. Easy to mount and simple, quite ordinary actually. But it is, after all, only a rod and the price was fair so I'll say good purchase.

For the large size, we received two 60-inch pieces--each one adjustable. Using two would make a minimum of 120 inches, which was longer than we wanted. So we used one rod to get the desired length, and two ends have different diameters. The screws were very imprecise--left one off because it didn't fit. The curtains and rod were for a second home, so timing was important--otherwise I never would have kept this rod. Anthropoligie can do much better at this price point.

I bought the Smithery rod for two different rooms in my home. It works beautifully in my husbands office, with its clean lines and simplicity. Our guest room, which is more feminine in design, the rods are a perfect pairing as well.
