Rated 3 out of 5 by KellyTurquoise Insufficient hardware
The spindle that comes with this set is too short (only 3-1/2") for many doors (mine is 1-3/4" thick) and the set does not have standard U.S. threading. My local hardware store couldn't match the threads so I had to go to a locksmith shop to find a replacement--and it was quite an effort for them to go through the bins to find a match. Be prepared to do additional work for this if you are planning to use on a door that is more than 1-1/4" thick.

This is an absolutely beautiful doorknob. The only problem with it is that it doesn't come with the hardware to install it, but if you go to the right place you can find exactly what you need to install it on a standard door. I went first to a locksmith who wanted to charge me $300 to get the hardware and install it. I almost returned it then, but I found a store that specialized in knobs and they had everthing to perfectly install the knob for about $45 - $50 - if you want all new hardware. Lowes and Home Depot don't have these items but if you find the right place you will be so happy. I ended up buying a second one and they are really beautiful - absolutely love them. Worth the effort to find the hardware and install them yourself!

You will have to buy a spindle from an online retailer (can't remember where we got ours) b/c the ones that come with this knob are too short and you can't find the appropriate spindle at Lowes or Home Depot. It is a cheap piece of hardware and we bought three door knobs so we needed three spindles. They aren't expensive and these door knobs are beautiful. You won't regret it.
What you see in the photo is what you get. No door latch. I still think it's worth it. You won't see these knobs anywhere else.
