I was a little nervous about this because I didnt see it in person and its a bit expensive. But it turns out that I really like it. The wood is gorgeous up close. Crate and Barrel has a similar bookshelf that costs nearly as much and is not as nice (and doesnt have the drawers). My only complaints are that one of the drawers is not exactly perfect so it has a slight gap and doesnt slide smoothly and I wish the wheels came off as my floors are not level and I had to shim it. The whole thing sitting on wheels on little shims makes me a little nervous, but I dont have kids or pets that might pull it down so its fine for me.

I have two of these side by side. Love the look, but one of them has a problem with the drawer - it does not slide in / out easily. When I try to pull it out, I'm afraid the whole shelf will fall on me - there is no mechanism to attach to the wall (which we are planning to do for safety). Price is good for what it is - similar pieces cost more in other places and don't have the authentic vintage / industrial look

This bookshelf looks even better in the room than it does in pictures. The wood is a neutral gray and the curves of the iron at the top give it a slightly softer look. Be warned- it is very heavy! I haven't had trouble with the drawers, but did note that they are not interchangeable (make sure the right drawer is on the right, etc.). There are two hooks for the back with which to secure the shelf to a wall. I was able to get this for a discount due to a broken wheel support which appears to have rusted through, so I wonder if this piece might be prone to rusting.
